A protagonist in major global strategic programs, it is a technological and industrial partner for Governments, Defense Administrations, Institutions and companies.Within the Automation business area, we are looking for a **Supply Chain Engineer** for our **Genoa** office.The **BU Automation** is an active part of the technological evolution of advanced automated sorting solutions for airports, couriers and postal services.The person will be responsible for the following activities:* Purchasing marketing and scouting/analysis of the best outsourcing/procurement opportunities;
* Definition and monitoring of common standards, metrics and methodologies aimed at evaluating sub-supplier performance;
* Definition of the “sourcing strategy” necessary to achieve objectives;
* Systematic evaluation of suppliers' capacity & capability assessment through the coordination of technical departments;
* Maintenance and development of the supplier base using the support of the Supply Chain Unit and the Procurement unit;
* Support to the Supply Chain department in the presence of structural/major criticalities with suppliers for the definition of any recovery plans and/or for the implementation of specific supplier improvement/development initiatives;
* Coordination of operational Task Forces for the resolution of structural/specific Supply Chain problems with the support of competent technical departments;
* Support for the activities necessary for the activation and start-up of new suppliers (from the formalization of the commitment to the stabilization of deliveries);
* Support to the Procurement unit in the assignment and selection phase of new supplies;
* Promotion and implementation of specific improvement initiatives, with the aim of rationalizing supply and sub-supply processes.Educational qualification: **Mechanical Engineering or equivalent**Required experience level: **SENIOR** - 5 to 10 years of experience**Technical/IT skills**:* Knowledge of production processes of main ferrous alloys* Knowledge of production processes of electrical material;
