Supply Chain Customs & Compliance Leader – Import/Export

In this role you will lead the customs and trade compliance for import and export, ensuring compliant, fast, and cost-effective cross‑border flows. You will partner with ITC and cross‑functional teams to uphold governance and enable market access while protecting the license to operate. You will drive strategic initiatives like AEO authorizations and digitalization to reduce holds and improve timing. This position offers impact across global supply chains, contributing to delivery reliability and total landed cost optimization.

• Define and own customs and trade compliance strategy aligned with company objectives
• Lead and develop the customs and trade compliance team or focal points
• Advise senior leadership on trade compliance risks and options
• Sponsor strategic initiatives such as AEO, classification programs, and process digitalization
• Oversee end‑to‑end customs clearance for imports and exports
• Ensure accurate HS classification, valuation, and origin determination
• Maintain documentation completeness and resolve holds to protect OTD
• Ensure adherence to EU and non‑EU export controls and sanctions
• Lead product and technology classification under control lists
• Establish screening, licensing, and end‑use controls for exports
• Support audits and closure of findings
• Identify process improvements and standardization across operations
• Optimize duties/taxes via regimes and simplifications
• Drive data quality and ERP integration for compliance
• Define and track KPIs for clearance, duty spend, and licenses
• Collaborate with ITC to train and raise organizational capability
• Manage relationships with brokers and forwarders
• Co‑create training programs with ITC to reduce holds and risk

Responsabilità

• 7+ years in import/export operations, supply chain, or trade compliance in a regulated environment
• Proven leadership experience and cross‑functional program delivery
• Strong track record in export control and licensing activities
• Ability to engage with authorities and brokers on compliance matters
• Solid knowledge of EU customs legislation, HS codes, and valuation
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and trade compliance tools
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
