Supplier Validation Engineer

As a Supplier Validation Engineer, you will ensure timely and flawless introduction of new parts and/or suppliers from qualification, capability & capacity assessment to production part approval process validation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the responsibility of production part approval process validation for all Bobst sites;
• Quality and technical assessment of new suppliers;
• Act as a recognized subject matter expert in the assigned technical field;
• Track NPI parts/resourcing projects from sample production until PPAP sign-off;
• Ensure PPAP documentation availability to all Bobst sites;
• Accountable for timely and flawless product relocation and substitution;
• Represents Supplier Performance Management team within NPI / PMO;
• Track and monitor First Time Right (FTR) indicators;
• Train Suppliers during qualification phase on Bobst standards (norms, manuals, etc…)

Key activities

• Run initial supplier audit;
• Lead drawing reviews;
• Coordinate and answer to technical questions from suppliers;
• Interact with key decision makers in RD&E;
• Monitor and manage trial orders in coordination with Buyer;
• Review, approve, share and archive PPAP documentation;
• Ensure accuracy and improvement of FTR KPI;
• Ensure the relevance and homologation of every new parts for NPI (APQP)

Experience

• Master degree in engineering or relevant technical experience in industry;
• 3 years minimum of proven experience in Supplier Quality or Development positions.
