Superyacht Refit Project Manager

SYR are supporting a leading superyacht refit and repair yard based in Viareggio as they look to expand their project management team with the hiring of their next project manager.

Offering a range of services from new build warranty support through to large yacht refit and repair, the yard has a well established customer base and a strong industry profile.

With an increasingly busy season ahead they are looking to recruit an experienced project manager, tasked with the following duties:

• Onboarding and welcoming new vessels and crews to the yard
• Working with the planning team to understand the ongoing project schedule and making sure that yacht projects meet the strict deadlines required
• co-ordinating internal and subcontracted staff across project with a keen eye on quality and cost
• working with procurement to ensure all required supply is delivered in line with project demand.
• acting as first point of contact internally and externally as a troubleshooter and quality controller
• ensuring accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders

In a candidate we seek someone with a minimum of 5 years experience in project management either of new build yachts or in a refit yard. Strong technical understanding, a keen eye for detail and good people skills will also be essential.

Alongside the above, you'll also be a fluent Italian speaker given this is the main language in the yard. English language skills to a moderate level or higher would also be advantageous.
