Civil Supervisor (Reinforced Concrete High-Rise Structures) - Yerevan, Armenia
WORK PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this role is to be the on-site technical reference point and supervisor for all structural works in Reinforced Concrete (C.A.). The Civil Supervisor will ensure the correct execution of forming, rebar placement, and concrete pouring activities, with a critical focus on the vertical structures of a high-rise residential complex (approx. 90 meters / 25 floors) in Yerevan, Armenia. This role is crucial for guaranteeing the structural integrity, quality compliance, and safe progress of the project, adhering to technical specifications and Renco's quality standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-Site Supervision: Act as the technical lead for all Reinforced Concrete construction activities, including foundations, columns, walls, and slabs, prioritizing the verticality and alignment of high-rise elements.
- Quality Control (C.A.): Perform continuous checks and inspections to ensure all formwork, rebar assembly, and concrete mix/pouring procedures strictly comply with technical drawings, structural specifications, and required curing processes.
- Structural Compliance: Verify the application of all structural calculations and details on site, particularly concerning critical connections, high-strength concrete requirements, and seismic design provisions.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Effectively coordinate and manage on-site civil subcontractors and workforce, resolving daily technical issues to optimize productivity and maintain the project schedule for the structural phases.
- HSE Compliance: Champion Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, conducting regular inspections focused on working-at-heights, lifting operations, and formwork stability, promoting a zero-incident culture.
- Material Verification: Oversee the acceptance and storage of structural materials (rebar, concrete batch tickets, additives), coordinating necessary field and laboratory testing (e.g., slump tests, cube/cylinder breaks).
- Technical Problem Solving: Identify and proactively resolve site-specific structural and interfacing technical issues in collaboration with the Project Technical Office and Engineering team.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare periodic progress reports on the status of structural works, quality checks performed, and potential risks, managing all relevant site documentation (inspection reports, as-builts of structural elements).
REQUIRED COMPETENCES
- Technical Expertise (High-Rise C.A.): Strong command of construction methodologies, material properties, and quality control procedures specific to Reinforced Concrete structures for high-rise buildings.
- Site Management: Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary resources and manage the field execution quality of complex structural works under tight deadlines.
- Vertical Structure Experience (Mandatory): Mandatory and demonstrated experience (preferably on international projects) in supervising the construction of high-rise concrete structures (ideally 70+ meters or 20+ floors).
- HSE Commitment: Deep understanding and commitment to international HSE standards, particularly regarding safety protocols for tall structures and heavy lifting.
- Adaptability & Cultural Sensitivity: Aptitude for working in a complex, fast-paced, and international environment like Yerevan, demonstrating respect for local culture and practices.
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory. Italian is a strong advantage.
- IT Skills: Good knowledge of IT and construction management programs (Microsoft Office Suite, basic use of CAD viewers).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Technical Diploma (Geometra/Perito Tecnico) or a Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5-8 years of site experience specifically focused on supervision/management of Reinforced Concrete structures, with a significant portion dedicated to high-rise construction.
- Rotation Availability: Availability to commit to an international site rotation schedule of 90 working days / 15 rest days (90/15).
