Job Title: Subsea Controls Engineer
On-site/ Remote/ Hybrid: On-site
Location: Milan, Italy
Job Type: Contract
We’re seeking experienced candidates for opportunities specifically in the offshore oil & gas industry.
Main Responsibilities:
• Consistency, quality and cost effectiveness of project design of the subsea production system in compliance with all applicable codes, standards and Engineering best practices.
Key Activities:
• Supporting the subsea production system lead in selecting and defining the optimal subsea solutions
• Preparing design specifications and ITT's
• Reviewing and commenting on technical documentation produced by contractors (e.g. technical reports, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.) ensuring the implementation of the established procedures and good engineering practice
• Ensure the performance, install ability of subsea systems, tie ins systems and subsea structures
• Ensure that all technical interfaces with other systems or activities belonging to the Project are considered by the Contractor at all times
• Ensure proper interface between the subsea tree system and drilling and well completion design and program
• Ensure all technical interfaces with the MODU are taken into consideration.
• Interact with well completion department in the preparation of the subsea completion program
• Assist in the preparation of the user manual and installation procedures by Contractor
• Assist in the preparation of the Pre-deployment Tests for the subsea tree & tubing hanger system
• Review and comment SUT, FAT and SIT procedures
• Witness and required testing of subsea equipment
• Resolving ongoing technical issues concerning all aspects of subsea equipment
• Monitoring and reporting technical progress to the Subsea Production system Lead
• Acquiring and capturing subsea construction know-how.
Minimum & Mandatory Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• Work experience of ten (10) years in the sought discipline after earning the BSc degree
• Excellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write specifications and reports.
