Atlantis – City Manager (Student Coordinator)

Atlantis, part of the CEA CAPA family, is hiring City Managers (Student Coordinators) to serve as group leaders for pre‑health abroad observation programs across Europe this summer of 2026. The role will be based in Italy for the following cities: Rome, Genoa, Verona, Padua,Listener? —— pad? Mantua, Venice, Ferrara, Turin, Trieste.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills in Italian and English to be successful in this role.

Atlantis is an education abroad organization that offers innovative pre‑med, pre‑PA, and pre‑health programs. We provide international clinical shadowing opportunities in Europe and Africa, connecting U.S. students with healthcare professionals and fostering cross‑cultural exchange.

Position Summary

The City Manager is a seasonal, full‑time contract position with a pre‑established start and end date. The role requires attendance at a 4‑day online training and a 13‑day in‑person training in Italy prior to the program start date.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required online and in‑person training in Italy (online dates April 7‑10; in‑person dates April 13‑25)
  • Collaborate with the Senior Operations Team to review program details and logistics
  • Coordinate with hospital, housing, meal, and excursion providers to organize and finalize arrangements for the program
  • Participate in preparation calls and ensure all necessary communications are sent to students and partners
  • Prepare and distribute welcome materials to students
  • Lead in‑country orientation and oversee logistical operations, including transportation, excursions, meals, hospital shadowing rotations, and accommodations
  • Manage program budgets and on‑site funds, payments, and receipts
  • Serve on a 24/7 on‑call basis, managing emergency protocols when necessary
  • Engage with students to enhance their shadowing experience and share insights on local healthcare and cultural contexts while maintaining a positive environment
  • Provide daily updates to the Senior Operations Team and maintain clear communication with students, hospitals, and partners
  • Document program activities through photos and videos for the Senior Operations Team
  • Complete offboarding tasks, including expense reporting and financial reconciliation
  • Collect and submit feedback forms based on program experience and interactions with Atlantis
  • Ensure all records, including key contacts and program details, are updated in the database

Qualifications

  • Attained a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Proficiency in English and Italian, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate groups, particularly in international settings
  • Experience working with college students and faculty, ideally in education abroad or related environments
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and community development skills, with the ability to build relationships across cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to handle crisis management situations with poise, professionalism, and effective problem‑solving
  • Ability to represent Atlantis with enthusiasm, integrity, and professionalism, upholding the organization’s mission and values
  • Strong judgment, negotiation, and decision‑making skills, with experience in policy enforcement and conflict resolution
  • Previous international study, internship, work, or volunteer experience is a plus
  • Collaborative team player who retirar? is visible, accessible, and supportive of students throughout the program
  • Flexibility to travel/temporarily relocate at short notice if required

Required Working Availability

The position is full‑time (Monday to Friday) with flexibility in working hours and the possibility of weekend work.

Employment Terms

Programs run from May to August 2026. The City Manager will also attend the 4‑day online and 13‑day Project Planning Course in mid‑April in Italy. This is a contractor position.
