Structural & Mechanical Engineer - Advanced Lightweight Structure

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis and validation of advanced lightweight and composite structures for unmanned platforms.
You will work in a highly technical, hands-on engineering environment, contributing directly to the development of structural solutions from concept to prototype and testing phases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support the structural design of lightweight and composite structures
- Translate system and mission requirements into structural requirements (strength, stiffness, mass targets, margins of safety)
- Define and evaluate load cases relevant to unmanned platforms (flight, landing, vibration, shock, transport)
- Perform structural analyses using FEM/FEA methods (static, buckling, modal and vibration analysis)
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
- Support prototype integration, verification and test activities
- Contribute to technical documentation, analysis reports and test plans
- Work cross-functionally with electronics, system engineering and manufacturing teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Background in structural analysis and mechanical design
- Experience with composite materials and lightweight structures (e.g. carbon fiber)
- Proficiency with CAD tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Experience with FEA tools (Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, OptiStruct or similar) is a plus
