Structural Integrity Discipline Engineer (STI DE)

Purpose of the Job

Performing the calculation discipline activities and producing associated deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments.

Hierarchical Reporting: Structural Integrity Domain Leader

Other reporting to: SSM CBC

  • Participating Units & CoE: Mechanical Lead Engineers (MLE) counterparts on the corresponding project(s)/program(s)

  • Subcontractors

Main Responsibilities

Performance Measurement/KPI’s:

  • On time delivery of calculation notes
  • Quality of calculation notes (first time right)

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for performing the calculation discipline activities and producing associated deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments.
  • Applying calculation methodologies, processes and tools to ensure deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
  • Perform discipline activities and deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer requirements.
  • Applying discipline rules, processes and tools and ensuring discipline calculation deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal) within committed limits.
  • Suggesting design improvements of calculated parts.
  • Preparing and documenting calculation discipline Reports according to project schedule and following up the main open actions.
  • Reporting on calculation discipline activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.

Main Required Competencies

Educational Requirements

Graduated from Mechanical Engineering school with Master of Science degree

Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 3 years of experience.

Technical

  • Fluent English and national language on the site
  • Detailed knowledge of Calculation, Special processes, Materials
  • MS Office tools
