Position Summary
We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join the UM Strategy team in Milan.
In this role, you will drive strategic thinking across key clients, translating business objectives into impactful, data-driven media strategies. You will work in a fast-paced agency environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams (digital, data, content, and activation) to deliver innovative and effective communication solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business, category dynamics, product portfolio, and brand positioning
- Identify and define the most relevant target audiences and segments, leveraging data and research tools
- Build holistic media strategies, defining the role of each channel across the consumer journey (online & offline)
- Translate strategic insights into clear frameworks, communication platforms, and activation ideas
- Lead the strategic direction of digital media planning, ensuring alignment with overall campaign objectives
- Collaborate with digital and media specialists to translate strategy into effective activation plans
- Interpret data and campaign performance to provide actionable insights and optimization recommendations
- Stay up to date with media and consumer trends, with a strong focus on digital innovation and emerging technologies (AI, cookieless environment, new platforms)
- Support client presentations, delivering clear, compelling, and insight-driven storytelling
- Act as a strategic partner for clients, managing expectations and contributing to long-term growth
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, media strategy, or audience analysis, preferably in a media/advertising agency
- Strong knowledge of audience research tools (e.g., Sinottica, Nielsen Media Impact, GWI, etc.)
- Solid understanding of the media ecosystem, with a focus on digital channels (programmatic, social, search, video)
- Experience in data-driven strategy development and performance analysis (KPIs, ROI, attribution models)
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple clients and priorities
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
