We are currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a European Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. This role could be based at either of our head office locations in Milan or Turin.


About the Role

This role operates independently without direct reports and will take responsibility for centralizing the best sources for our private label business and manage supplier relationships and commercial terms, as well as ensuring that all tendering and procurement process adhere to relevant legislation.


This role will source potential new suppliers and products in various regions and conduct effective negotiations of terms and conditions for new and existing suppliers, working closely with our own brand procurement, quality and supply chain functions.


Key responsibilities:

  • Working with the European category lead to manage the private label (PL) supplier range
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with PL suppliers, taking a total value of ownership (TVO) approach
  • Identifying new products and suppliers via research and trade events and sourcing potential suppliers in cost-effective countries, coordinating with procurement to gain approval
  • Sourcing potential suppliers in cost-effective countries and coordinating with the procurement function to gain supplier approval
  • Launching central tenders and ensuring optimal TVO by conducting effective negotiation of T&Cs in coordination with our quality and supply chain teams
  • Negotiating prices and contracts with existing suppliers and creating contract documents
  • Monitoring commodities such as currency and raw material fluctuations in the local market and applying adjustments to supplier commercials
  • Creating estimates and forecasts and identifying cost reduction strategies


Skills and Experience needed

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the automotive industry
  • Experience working within a pan-European function
  • Knowledge and experience in sourcing from lower cost regions
  • Team player with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Fluency in English with another European language advantageous.
