We are looking for a Reinsurance buyer who will work at the Head Office of the Generali Group, in the P&C Treaty Retrocession, whose main duty is to purchase the reinsurance protections for the benefit of the Generali Group.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Design of the most efficient reinsurance protections for the Group, in line with the corporate strategy and the market conditions;
- Preparation of the information package required for the purchase of reinsurance protections;
- Negotiation of the terms and conditions of the protections, either directly with the main reinsurers in the market or through brokers;
- Negotiation with investors and post-closing management of alternative reinsurance structures (sidecar);
- Management of the commercial relationships with reinsurers through dedicated meetings or market events attended also by the top management of reinsurance companies;
- Collaboration with key partners of Generali for the definition of specific reinsurances;
- Reinsurance reporting to top management, the company’s governing bodies, and supervisory authorities;
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Law; a Master’s degree in insurance or risk management is preferred;
- 3-5 years of experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance sector;

- Ability to work independently and results-oriented mindset;
