Job Description
The position will be part of the Quoting area and will be responsible for the development of complex strategic quotations in support of Business Development activities. The role oversees the entire quotation process, ensuring the completeness, consistency and industrial feasibility of the proposed solutions, from the early quoting phase through to the release of the final production configuration, followed by the effective and sustainable execution of the material purchasing process.
About the role
The candidate is responsible for coordinating information gathering activities, preliminary product configuration and definition of the economic model of the offer, interfacing with Key Account Management, Sales, Project Management, Engineering and R&D.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and validation of all technical and commercial information required for the development of strategic quotations.
- Technical guidance and support to Sales and Project Management during the customer requirements definition phase.
- Direct management of material quoting and costing for strategic opportunities, coordinating the dedicated team.
- Interface with local and global suppliers to define material costs, supply conditions, sourcing risks and alternative scenarios.
- Coordination of preliminary product configuration activities, definition of production routings, industrial costs and NRE, carried out by the dedicated technical teams.
- Ability to directly intervene in product configuration, production routings and NRE activities in case of critical issues or incomplete information.
- Ensure information continuity from quotation through to the release of the final production configuration, guaranteeing no gaps that could impact the start of material purchasing activities.
- Use of company ERP systems for the economic analysis of quotations and for traceability of cost assumptions.
Requirements
Hard Skills
- Solid experience in material and industrial costing.
- Knowledge of product configuration logic, BOM structures and production routings.
- Understanding of the main electronic and electromechanical manufacturing processes.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Advanced use of Excel and ERP/management systems (INFOR LN is a plus).
Soft Skills
- Leadership and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, even without direct reporting lines.
- Structured, results-oriented approach with strong risk management capabilities.
- Technical authority and decision-making ability in complex environments.
- High operational flexibility and willingness to travel.
The role involves:
- End-to-end responsibility for strategic quotations.
- Coordination of direct and indirect resources (Quoting, Engineering, Procurement, Operations).
- Frequent interaction with customers, suppliers and senior management within the Elemaster Group.
- Participation in meetings and business trips, including international travel.
