We are currently offering a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave , with direct exposure to senior leadership and high-impact projects.
The role will report directly to the Executive Vice-President Europe .
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Shape and continuously update the Italy business and investment plan, factoring in project timelines, market trends, and evolving dynamics
- Act as a key advisor to the Italy Country Director on capital allocation and portfolio strategy
- Support the launch and scaling of the data center business segment from a financial perspective
- Stay on top of the Italian energy market (pricing, incentives, auctions, regulation, grid constraints, storage evolution) to inform strategic decisions
- Act as a bridge between technical/project teams and finance, ensuring alignment on project performance and budgets
Financial Planning & Performance
- Lead budgeting activities (revenues, costs, and cash flows) in line with US GAAP principles
- Monitor performance vs. budget and perform variance analysis
- Identify and reallocate underutilized capital to maximize portfolio efficiency and returns
Investment Analysis & Financial Modelling
- Build and manage advanced financial models for projects across all stages (greenfield, RTB, operational)
- Run scenario analyses and evaluate key metrics (IRR, NPV, etc.)
- Assess and mitigate financial risks (pricing, regulation, construction, financing, delays)
- Optimize revenue strategies (merchant, PPAs, public tenders such as FER-X, Energy Release)
- Prepare high-quality investment memos for senior leadership (CEO/CFO level)
M&A & Commercial Execution
- Lead the financial side of M&A transactions (PV and BESS), from screening to closing
- Manage valuation, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution
- Support and negotiate development service agreements with partners
Financing & Capital Structuring
- Support financing activities across corporate, development, and project levels
- Work with lenders, contribute to financial documentation, and assess bankability
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business, finance, and leadership teams across the organization
- Ensure alignment between strategy, financial modelling, and execution
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, investment banking, or consulting
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (Excel advanced; knowledge of valuation methods such as IRR, NPV)
- Solid understanding of the Italian energy market is a plus
- Experience in M&A, project finance, or investment analysis is highly valued
- Fluent in English; Italian is a strong plus
- Proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
