Our client, a leading player in the industrial raw materials sector and headquartered in the heart of Genoa , is looking for a Strategic Planner & Controller to join its Strategic Planning & Business Excellence Department.
In this highly visible role, you will actively support the business planning and control cycle, provide performance insights, monitor key efficiency indicators, and deliver data-driven analyses to guide strategic decisions.
You will be part of a dynamic, ambitious, and internationally oriented team committed to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.

In this highly visible role, you will actively support the business planning and control cycle, provide performance insights, monitor key efficiency indicators, and deliver data-driven analyses to guide strategic decisions.
You will be part of a dynamic, ambitious, and internationally oriented team committed to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across Sales, Purchasing, and Operations, contributing to all planning cycles (annual, rolling, monthly, and weekly).
- Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to understand performance drivers and develop improvement initiatives.
- Define, monitor, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare periodic management reports and strategic presentations for senior leadership.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic evaluations and business decisions.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Develop business cases and run financial/operational simulations.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Master’s degree (preferably with honors) in Economics, Management Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 3/5 years of experience in similar positions, within structured and multinational environments.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Strong command of Power BI and SAP.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actions.
- Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
