What You Can Expect

The Strategic Initiatives Manager works in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Commercial Excellence and the Head of Medical Education, Technical Services & Digital Marketing. Acting as a key partner to both leaders, this role is responsible for designing, executing, and leading multiple projects across the two teams.

The position applies change management principles, processes, and tools to drive operational performance. Responsibilities include defining clear project scopes, developing comprehensive project plans, aligning stakeholders, designing change strategies, assessing stakeholder impact and organizational readiness, setting priorities, recommending and/or implementing communication, training, and behavioral change initiatives, and measuring effectiveness through defined KPIs. The ultimate objective is to enhance performance at project, team, and EMEA levels.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Strategic Initiative delivery for two teams: Commercial Excellence and Medical Education, Technical Services & Digital Marketing
  • Strategic Initiative process ownership: contributing to the development of a standardized set of principles, practices, and templates for managing organizational projects
  • Data gathering and insights: producing accurate and relevant information for management review
  • Process management: managing and facilitating core continuous improvement processes
  • Align priorities with the leadership team; cascade priorities and tasks to operational teams to ensure full alignment
  • Coordinate messaging and communication cadence in collaboration with the Communications team
  • Maintain a consolidated overview of all ongoing projects
  • Coordinate project teams across different workstreams and manage overall project activities, plans, timelines, deliverables, and milestones
  • Guide and support workstream leads in designing and implementing targeted change strategies, including:
    • Identification of impacts on people, processes, policies, and organizational structure
    • Stakeholder identification and alignment
    • Communication and feedback mechanisms
    • Success metrics and KPIs
    • Training plans
    • Organizational readiness
    • Long-term sustainability measures
  • Drive day-to-day change management activities while providing appropriate support and coaching to both teams
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., RA/QA, Commercial Operations, Commercial Excellence) and project team members

What Makes You Stand Out

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business and/or Project Management preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an advantage

Professional Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in project management
  • Top-tier management consulting background is considered an advantage

Special Expertise

  • Ability to lead project definition and provide structured recommendations
  • Ability to confidently assess change impacts, communication needs, and training requirements
  • Ability to design, align, and successfully execute significant change initiatives from initiation to completionStrong prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to elevate issues appropriately and maintain confidentiality

Languages

English essential, and any additional European language an advantage.
