Role Overview
The Strategic Finance Projects position, based at Somacis HQ in Castelfidardo , reports to the Group CFO / Finance Director .
This role is responsible for managing and coordinating strategic Finance initiatives across the Somacis Group, supporting financial transformation, process efficiency, and advanced analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making. The position collaborates closely with Group Finance leadership, international subsidiaries, and cross-functional teams to drive optimization, harmonization, and digitalization of financial processes .
The role is key to enhancing finance capabilities, implementing global standards, and supporting strategic corporate initiatives .
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Projects & Financial Transformation
- Lead Finance transformation projects , digitalization initiatives, and process optimization efforts.
- Improve budgeting, forecasting, cash management, costing, and reporting processes .
- Support ERP system implementation, BI tools deployment, and advanced FP&A solutions .
- Contribute to defining financial standards and global procedures across the Group.
Advanced Financial Analysis & Corporate Finance
- Prepare financial analyses for strategic initiatives, including CAPEX, M&A evaluations, investments, and business cases.
- Assess economic and financial impacts of industrial or organizational projects.
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain on cost efficiency, make-or-buy analyses, and profitability assessments.
- Support long-term planning, scenario modeling, and strategic decision-making .
Project Reporting & Governance
- Track project progress, milestones, risks, and expected outcomes .
- Prepare structured documentation and presentations for Group Finance and senior management.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure alignment among Group entities.
- Ensure that financial initiatives are aligned with corporate strategy .
Continuous Improvement & Change Management
- Promote a data-driven approach and process transparency across Finance.
- Support change management, training, and process standardization .
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose innovative financial solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering , or related fields.
- 3–6 years of experience in corporate finance, financial consulting, controlling, or project management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, BI tools, and financial planning models .
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset .
- Project management capabilities with experience managing international stakeholders.
- Fluency in English ; additional languages a plus.
- Proactive, accurate, and able to work in dynamic and complex multinational environments .
