In the last 6 years they have doubled up the top line up to 2Bn€ (2025), tripled their profitability, established their presence in 28 countries, consolidated their manufacturing footprint across 73 production sites and distribution centers, employing almost 6000 people. Their portfolio (25000 products across BUs) is sold in 132 countries, positioning the group as a leader in attractive premium niche markets. A key enabler of their growth path has been a structured Procurement organization, that has been built to evolve into a strategic, "best-in-class" function. A solid governance, a clear strategy, and distinctive capabilities continue to support business expansion. Within this context, the company is now seeking a Strategic Buyer - Chemicals: a high-performing professional who can bring fresh energy, expertise, and capabilities to further strengthen the Direct Procurement team. Position – The role: The Strategic Buyer will report to the Global Commodity Manager Chemicals and will take responsibility for one of the Chemicals SubCategory. He/she will be in charge of 1) implementing and optimizing commodity strategy, 2) contributing to the development and execution of commodity programs and policies across the supplier base to ensure optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), while supporting quality, delivery, sustainability, and innovation objectives, and, last but not least, 3) play a key role in the transformation of a Procurement team with the ambition to be the Best in Class. Position – Specific Responsibilities: Support the management of the chemical commodity for the BU Self Adhesives, contributing to the deployment of the commodity strategy with a particular focus on sourcing execution. Foster long-term partnerships with suppliers, acting as their focal point for supplier visits, business reviews, negotiations, and quality management. Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders across functions. Prepare and conduct negotiations with suppliers regarding commercial terms, payment conditions and delivery terms in collaboration with the Global Commodity Manager. Prepare and analyse performance, risk, and sustainability reports for business reviews and decision-making processes. Conduct comparative analysis about supplier's capabilities and cost drivers, to gain insights and improve spending efficiency and effectiveness. Support the execution and tracking of innovation and sustainability projects in line with our business and ESG targets. Requirements and Key skills include: Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience. About 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial setting, preferably in complex multinational organizations recognized for procurement excellence. Passion and interest for a professional development within Procurement, leveraged by an advanced context and knowledge. Solid negotiation and cost-benefit analysis skills. Entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong analytical and project management capabilities. Proactive attitude, high level of energy, and ability to adapt to changing environments. Strong team-working approach and ability to collaborate effectively across departments in an international setting. xpavfwm Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
