Static Equipment Senior Engineer


Static Equipment Senior Engineer is responsible for the design and specification of static equipment such as pressure vessels, atmospheric thanks, and heat exchangers , ensuring compliance with international codes and standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, proficiency in certified design software, and a solid understanding of materials and fabrication processes.


Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Design and specification of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other static equipment in accordance with international standards (e.g., ASME, EN, API, TEMA).
  • Perform mechanical calculations using certified software tools (e.g., PV Elite, Compress, HTRI).
  • Prepare technical documentation including datasheets, design reports, and fabrication drawings.
  • Collaborate with procurement, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance throughout the equipment lifecycle.
  • Review vendor documents and support technical evaluations.
  • Provide support during fabrication and inspection phases, including resolution of technical queries.
  • Ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards, and client specifications.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferable but not mandatory)
  • 5–8 years of experience in static equipment design within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of international design codes for pressure equipment (ASME VIII, EN 13445, API 660, TEMA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in certified design software for pressure equipment (e.g., PV Elite, Compress, HTRI).
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy and welding processes.
  • Familiarity with the pressure equipment fabrication cycle, including material selection, forming, welding, and inspection.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EPC projects or working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
  • Experience with static equipment supplier environment
  • Exposure to fabrication yards or shop inspections.
  • Knowledge of thermal design principles for heat exchangers.
