Static Equipment Engineer

As Static Equipment Engineer, you will respond to the Static Equipment Lead and be part of the ENCAR business line.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks assigned by the Static Equipment Lead, related to design, verification or study activities of Storage Tanks, Air Coolers, Reactors, Columns, Vessels and Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers.
• Co‑coordinate some technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem (review client technical documentation and requirements, control subcontracted discipline engineering documents).
• Perform the follow‑up of supplies with the selected vendor after the purchase order award.
• Perform the estimation of each item (weight/cost).
• Prepare detail engineering documentation in compliance with the process requirements and technical specifications (equipment mechanical data sheets, etc.).
• Optimize the technical solutions ensuring minimal cost and simplification while meeting required performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Proven experience (at least 5 years) in the same or similar positions with International Main Contracting & Engineering Companies.
• Languages: English (B2/C1).
• Technical Skills: Focus on static equipment (mainly Columns and Vessels).
• IT Skills: Familiarity with PC software for office automation and software for mechanical equipment design (e.g. PV Elite, Compress, or similar).

Travel & Availability

You will have the opportunity to travel abroad based on the projects you will work for. Availability to travel for short periods (1 week to 1 month) and the possibility to relocate abroad to International Saipem Engineering Centers or construction sites for a minimum of one year.
