START-UP | SENIOR HYDRAULIC ENGINEER

The partner:

We are looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to be hired on a permanent contract with one of our clients, an innovative Start-Up in the chemical-engineering sector. Our client specializes in renewable energy and, in particular, in the research, development and prototyping of new green batteries and long-duration energy storage systems.

The role:

• Design hydraulic system architecture: pump sizing/selection, manifolds, flow distribution, pressure management, filtration, venting/degassing concepts.
• Develop piping layouts and define standards for routing, supports, accessibility, and service ability within a container.
• Define instrumentation strategy: pressure/flow/temperature sensing, control valves, safety relief devices, and interlocks.
• Build hydraulic loss models (Δp), NPSH/cavitation risk checks, transient behavior considerations.
• Run and interpret CFD and/or hydraulic network simulations to optimize flow uniformity and efficiency.
• Write component specifications and acceptance criteria; support supplier technical alignment.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting on pilot systems and containers.
• Draft procedures, reports and technical documentation in general.

Mandatory skills:

• Experiencein engineering development of pressurized liquid systems (PhD years can be counted as experience if relevant).
• Strong capability in hydraulic design, piping engineering, and system integration.
• Experience translating requirements into component sizing and technical specifications.
• Ability to work hands-on with prototypes and field troubleshooting
