Position Snapshot
Location: Nestlé in Italy, Assago (Milan) HQ
Target candidates: Undergraduates or graduates in Management Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Knowledge: University‑level knowledge of ERP, forecasting, make‑or‑buy, Supply Chain processes, objectives and methodologies
Experience: Curricular or extra‑curricular work experience in Supply Chain/Operations is a strong plus

Position Summary You will support the Demand & Supply Planning team in managing operations planning within the Coffee category, ensuring the effective coordination of demand and supply planning activities.
A day in the life of a Demand & Supply Planning Intern
Action on daily operational activities, such as maintaining optimal stock levels across the network, monitoring truck saturation, planning co‑packing operations, tracking KPIs and updating forecasts
Contribution to projects aimed at improving cross‑functional supply‑chain processes: reducing total delivered costs, enhancing service levels, and optimizing waste
Development of reporting and analytical tools within the Demand & Supply area, focusing on time and cost efficiencies
Key Outputs / Deliverables
Development of reporting and analytical tools in the Demand & Supply area
Integration of processes with Information System applications (SAP) to reduce manual activities and improve automatism
Implementation of process improvements to deliver tangible benefits (time saving, increased efficiencies, etc.)
Key Relationships Internal to Nestlé Group
Demand & Supply planning community
Customer service, Warehouse, Logistics and Transport
Procurement
What will make you successful?
Degree in Management Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Short experience in Supply Chain/Operations
Good knowledge of Excel, Power BI (SAP is a plus)
Strong communication and relational skills
Collaborative proactive approach with innovative and constructive mindset
Mental agility, insight, analysis and synthesis
Fluent in both Italian and English
