Position Summary

You will support the International Sales Team in the Confectionery Business, operating on the Perugina® and Baci Perugina® brands. Your responsibilities include defining, planning, executing, and monitoring commercial plans across the assigned area; contributing to country analysis, go‑to‑market strategy development, and partnership establishment with key business partners. You will work closely with an Area Manager to drive business growth and expand the company’s global footprint.

A Day in the Life of an Assistant International Area Manager Confectionery

  • Coordinate the exchange of information and sales materials with distribution partners and customers (samples, product certifications, images, catalogues).
  • Support the International Sales Area Manager in local commercial plan execution and budget monitoring.
  • Assist with forecast and order activity, performance data analysis, and provide actionable insights to enhance sales productivity and revenue generation.
  • Develop and execute brand support packages for distribution partners (digital assets, POS materials, etc.).
  • Conduct comprehensive country analysis, including market research, industry trends, competitor insights, and consumer behavior to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement country‑specific go‑to‑market strategies, considering local market and consumer preferences.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations to business partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain) to coordinate market penetration and growth initiatives.

What Will Make You Successful?

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • Highly organized, strong problem‑solving, analytical and quantitative mindset.
  • Curiosity and strong interest in the FMCG confectionery industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Italian.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative mindset suited to a multicultural setting, capable of building effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
