THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer for our Mobile Platform team in Portugal!

The Mobile Platform team is responsible for enabling engineers to work more efficiently and bringing a better developer experience, working on observability, performance, and owning release management.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you are a passionate developer driven by high-quality, timely delivery. You will have opportunities to participate in architectural decisions, suggest improvements, and collaborate closely with the product team and other stakeholders in an agile environment.

YOUR IMPACT

• Participate in developing critical and challenging services, aiming for sustainable solutions;
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience;
• Ensure systems reliability, scalability, SLA, and SLO adherence;
• Support existing systems to enhance functionality and scale;
• Work collaboratively in an agile environment that values people and productivity;
• Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting;
• Maintain the technical vision of projects;
• Work with cutting-edge technologies globally;
• Promote code quality and best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD;
• Inspire and empower colleagues by fostering a wellbeing-focused work environment.

Main requirements

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience;
• Experience in designing and developing complex web applications;
• Experience with React Native ecosystem;
• Experience in web/mobile development and accessibility;
• Experience with Firebase ecosystem;
• Experience with component-driven libraries/frameworks and Hybrid Native approaches;
• Experience with prototypes, MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles;
• Experience with Design Systems and UX patterns;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS/GCP);
• Experience developing RESTful/GraphQL services;
• Excellent English communication skills.
