Overview

As a Solutions Architect on the AWS Global Sales team, you will partner with enterprise customers to design, build, and scale highly resilient cloud architectures. You will act as a trusted advisor, help customers migrate workloads to AWS, and drive revenue growth through advocacy and deep relationships with technical and executive stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders as a trusted technical advisor.
• Participate in deep architectural and design discussions to create world‑class solutions built on AWS, ensuring they are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Author and contribute to AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts.
• In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• Build deep relationships with business and senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to become cloud advocates.
• Capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.
• Travel is mostly regional and is expected to be 15‑20% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
• Experience solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually (location dependent). Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
