We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator L2 or L3 to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical management, support, and maintenance of the SAP environment, including system performance, system configuration, database management, and overall operational integrity.
This role requires a deep understanding of SAP systems, proactive problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage SAP Basis administration tasks, including system installations, configurations, upgrades, patching, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP system issues, providing L2/L3 support as required.
- Collaborate with the SAP Functional teams to implement and support SAP projects and enhancements.
- Ensure system security by managing user access and roles, in alignment with IT security policies.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
- Lead SAP system refreshes, landscape transformations, and migrations as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP system architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members and act as a point of escalation for critical issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices to recommend improvements and innovations.
- Plan and execute S/4HANA system conversion autonomously.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, including experience with ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, SAP Rise and other SAP modules.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server) and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
- Experience in SAP system upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in SAP Basis or related areas are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud environments and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, especially as they relate to SAP RISE.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages for system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
