About the Role
Our client is a global, technology-driven industrial sensor manufacturer expanding its footprint in Europe. They are looking to hire a Senior Sales Engineer / Sales Manager to lead and grow business across the European off-highway market.
This role combines technical sales, customer consulting, and strategic business development, working closely with in-house R&D and manufacturing teams to deliver customized sensor solutions to leading OEMs in construction, agricultural, and specialty vehicles.
You will act as the primary technical and commercial interface for customers and play a key role in shaping the long-term European market strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow business across the European off-highway market
- Build and manage relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and key industrial customers
- Act as a technical consultant, understanding customer applications and translating requirements into tailored sensor solutions
- Own the full sales cycle, from opportunity development through negotiation and closing
- Collaborate closely with R&D and manufacturing on customization, validation, and rapid prototyping
- Identify new market opportunities, applications, and strategic accounts
- Represent the company at customer sites, industry events, and trade fairs
- Contribute to European market strategy, pricing, and long-term growth planning
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or similar)
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development
- Experience selling sensors, electronic components, or technical systems
- Strong understanding of the European off-highway market, including construction and agricultural machinery
- Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor and primary customer interface
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel regularly within Europe and occasionally internationally
- Independent, results-driven working style with strong customer focus
Desirable Experience
- Fluency in Italian ( Native level)
- Existing network within the European off-highway or heavy equipment industry
- Experience working closely with R&D and manufacturing teams
- Background in growth-phase or market-expansion environments
- Experience representing companies at trade fairs and industry events
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience selling into OEMs within construction, agricultural, or mobile machinery environments are highly preferred. A background in industrial sensors is ideal, but the client remains open to motivated candidates with relevant application knowledge and strong customer relationships in the off-highway ecosystem.

- Location: Munich or remote within Italy (must be eligible for Italy social insurance)
- Geographic focus: Europe
- Travel: Regular within Europe, occasional international travel
