Overview
Sr. Medical Affairs Manager, Amazon Medical — We seek a strong and experienced leader to manage medical affairs for the businesses under Amazon Medical. Our mission is to invent the most patient centric healthcare service. This role reports to the head of Amazon Medical and plays a critical role in helping the operating team understand, appreciate, and navigate the medical space with the right expertise and insights.
Responsibilities
- Execute the Amazon Medical’s vision and strategy for superior integrated care delivery.
- Build the right level of medical awareness and knowledge for non-medical business teammates building critical pieces of this business.
- Establish mechanisms to ensure the highest standards of clinical quality and medical compliance.
- Utilize technology and analytical tools to assess, support, and report the status of Quality, Safety and Risk Management; ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used for internal and external reporting.
- Investigate new developments in medical care practices and techniques applicable to current and future programs.
- Evaluate technology solutions for clinical appropriateness, guiding potential uses and limitations within Amazon’s programs.
- Ensure accountability for results, integrity, compliance, and quality.
- Evaluate developments in medical care and recommend innovative practices and procedures.
- Develop credibility with Amazon, community partners, and the broader medical community.
- The role holder is expected to be an MBBS doctor with an active practicing license.
- The role is not a pure-play SME; the candidate should be proficient with data analysis, project management, and collaborating with a large, motivated team.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
