Overview
About the role: As Sr. Manager Quality Engineer for Power Modules (m/f/d), you will build and manage a team of product quality engineers that supports the lifecycle for all quality aspects of Power Module products equipped with SiC, GaN and IGBT. You will drive quality management strategies, qualification approaches, and execution for next-generation power module products on SiC and GaN technologies for industrial and automotive applications, collaborating with R&D and cross-functional teams across development, manufacturing, quality, test, and applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong quality mindset to help drive innovations beyond industry standards and bring electronics engineering experience in power module quality to a fast-paced organization. Responsibilities
Support and drive the release of Power Module products in SiC, GaN, and IGBT. Actively manage customer requirements including product documentation. Ensure product quality performance during development and after release. Ensure compliance with qualification standards and policies, data analysis, risk and change management. Represent the voice of the customer, drive quality requirements and expectations related to qualification and release, considering challenges of SiC/GaN power module design. Take responsibility within the Quality Management for Power Modules across development, marketing, and operations to meet customer expectations, product quality, and process compliance. Define quality requirements to achieve reliable and durable design through manufacturing. Correlate failure mechanisms with reliability measures and integrate into product quality. Drive early identification and characterization of failure mechanisms and link to performance and lifetime via simulation and predictive analytics. Drive and manage reliability testing with external partners. Promote implementation of quality procedures and standards (Nexperia, JEDEC, AEC-Q, AQG 324, and customer-specific) in projects. Serve as primary support to customers on power module issues and complaint handling; lead customer requests using structured problem-solving; prepare and deliver customer-friendly quality reports and presentations. Promote quality as value added to internal and external stakeholders. Identify and address quality gaps in the product creation process. Define qualification requirements and support qualification of manufacturing processes. Qualifications
PhD or master’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical discipline. Minimum 7 years experience in a similar role, with power module technology and assembly processes preferred. Knowledge in semiconductor physics and applications, preferably SiC/GaN domain. Knowledge of international quality standards and policies (e.g., AEC-Q101, AQG 324). Experience as a group manager with direct reports. Familiar with measurement methods, equipment, and device testing environments. Familiar with standard software tools (e.g., Office) and problem-solving techniques. Strong collaborative and team-working skills with structured, fact-based, solution-oriented approach. Self-motivated, open-minded, and capable of maintaining high quality mindset in challenging environments. Excellent written and verbal English; good presentation skills and ability to interact with customers and executives. Ability to work under pressure, good teamwork, and willingness to travel. Assertiveness and demonstrated influencing skills; ability to build a trusted internal network. Experience resolving conflicts; open mindset that welcomes changes and views problems as opportunities.
