Job Description

Purpose of the Position:

Support the Financial Coordinator and the Financial Manager in monitoring the financial condition of the business in maximizing return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The incumbent will join the Finance team in an experienced capacity, bringing prior knowledge of financial processes and contributing immediately across general accounting and purchasing activities. The role is fully operational and hands-on, with active involvement in the following responsibilities:

Accountability in managing the finance tasks and compliance matters including;

  • Perform accounting functions, bookkeeping, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Perform day to day bookkeeping in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
  • Support in preparation and analysis of financial statements, including profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and statements of financial position
  • Support the achievement of the annual audits
  • Perform precise and timely bank reconciliation

Responsibility in compiling business results, cash flow reports and support business forecasts including;

  • Support the Finance team in reviewing monthly revenue, unbilled debtor calculation, deferred income.
  • Manage business relationship with the banks
  • Prepare and manage the cash flow forecast and deviation analysis

The role will include responsibilities at procurement level also including:

  • Ensure that procurement process and routines are in place as per Company policies. Give constant contribution on policies improvement.
  • Manage the purchasing process including supplier qualification, purchase orders, goods in, supplier payment. Negotiating with suppliers, ensuring an effective and sustainable procurement relationships.
  • Support the Financial Manager for the medium and long term planning of the procurement strategy
  • Support the Financial Manager in discovering profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
  • Maintain the supplier list qualification database.
  • Support the achievement of the annual quality and compliance audit.
  • Examine and test existing contracts in order to identify risk elements or opportunities of improvement.

University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other related fields

  • Proficiency with ERP accounting systems
  • Strong knowledge of Account Payables /Account Receivables< processes
  • Experience in financial report preparation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork attitude
  • Excellent verbal and active listening communication skills
  • Solid relational and interpersonal skills

Experiences:

Experience in in auditing, accounting/finance

Languages

English (nearly fluent)
