Acquired in 2022 as The Binding Site, the Specialty Diagnostics business, Protein Diagnostics (PDX) provides specialist diagnostic products to clinicians and laboratory professionals worldwide. Our people are dedicated to improving patient lives by delivering innovative medical solutions that improve the diagnosis and management of blood cancers, such as Multiple Myeloma, and immune system disorders.
Responsibilities
- Drive planning, strategy execution, strategic marketing and communications activity for the Division
- Support the division’s growth targets, in a complex and evolving market
- Lead and build a strong team of strategy and marketing professionals, through direct and matrix reporting, project managers
- Drive cross-functional and cross-business partnership to achieve business results. Build and facilitate internal communication plan to align all functions across the Division key initiatives for growth
- Demonstrate and champion core authentic leadership behaviors
Location & Travel
Alternatively, we are open to hiring the role based out of a variety of our European offices (office-based, not home-based), providing you are willing to travel to the Birmingham, UK office on a regular (weekly / bi-weekly) basis. In addition, frequent international travel will be required (mainly UK, Europe and US) - up to 50% of working time, including overnight stays.

Who we are looking for / Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant course of study. MBA and / or additional advanced degree is strongly preferred
- A background in In-vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and / or Lifesciences industries strongly preferred, including experience with equipment & consumables in bioproduction
- You will have led a global marketing team, with experience of the European and US IVD / Lifesciences markets
- You will have a broad Marketing background which may include multi-channel Marketing, Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Management etc
- Experience with developing and deploying marketing strategy; Able to perform against robust growth targets, considering various metrics and data inputs
- An experienced people leader (managing managers) with strong talent management and people development skills
- Ability to work across a heavily matrixed environment. Effective at interpersonal relationships.
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead short term results concurrent with longer-term strategic achievements
- Executive presence; Strong presentation skills
- Travel : approximately 50% including international travel
- Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
