    • What Will You Do?
    • This position is dual role with responsibilities for leading the EHS function for the Drug Product Division and expanded responsibilities for the Global Pharma Services Group, as well as serving as a back-up to the Vice President, EHS.

    • Drug Product Division responsibilities (40%) include
    • Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) functional leader for the Drug Products Division.

    • Develop divisional EHS strategy and provide direction, support, and guidance to DPD facilities.
    • Drive achievement of EHS Index and KPI targets, and continuous improvement of the EHS program.
    • Enhance colleague and supervisor engagement in EHS initiatives.
    • Ensure site compliance with applicable EH&S regulations and Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and standards.
    • Implement an EHS Governance system aligned with business priorities and support business goals.
    • Oversee EHS Risk Management for the Division, developing strategies to understand and reduce EHS risks.

      Collaborate with the DPD Leadership team on strategic initiatives and operational improvements, ensuring EHS considerations are integrated into change management processes.

    • Pharma Services Group - Global Leader responsibilities (60%) include
    • Serve as back-up for the Pharma Services Group - Vice President - EHS, supporting global EHS initiatives and liaising with corporate teams.

    • Drive positive EHS culture by advancing system elements aligned with international standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
    • Establish global EHS communication and training strategies for PSG.
    • Lead the PSG Contractor Management and Security programs, liaising with corporate teams.
    • Create and implement an EHS Supplier Management program.
    • Education
    • B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, EHS, or related discipline; relevant experience may substitute.

      Professional designation in Health & Safety (e.g., CSP, CRSP, CIH) is advantageous.

    • Experience
    • 15+ years in Health and Safety in industrial or related environments, including 5 years in pharmaceutical industry and management roles.

    • Competencies
    • Success in biosafety, industrial hygiene, risk management, and management systems implementation. Knowledge of international EHS legislation. Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills. Well-organized, detail-oriented, proficient in MS Office, and committed to core principles of integrity, respect, and excellence.

      Proficiency in English is required.

    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    • Light physical effort is required; site visits may involve exposure to elements, physical discomfort, or climbing. Ability to travel as needed.
