Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all on-site construction activities
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local, regional, and national regulations, particularly those related to environmental protection, permitting, and health and safety
  • Direct and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including demolition, earthworks, foundations, structural works, and mechanical and electrical installations
  • Supervise and manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring work is executed according to design, schedule, and quality standards
  • Act as the main point of contact between engineering, procurement, environmental, and construction teams to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues
  • Integrate environmental considerations into construction planning and execution, ensuring all activities are consistent with permit conditions and sustainability goals
  • Monitor and report on construction progress, managing schedules and budgets, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Enforce safety standards and procedures on site, promoting a culture of safety and quality across all activities
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, local authorities, and community representatives as needed to ensure transparent and effective communication

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management (advanced degree preferred)
  • Specialization in Project Management (nice to have)
  • At least 10 years in site management roles
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects (heavyIndustrial)
  • Strong experience with projects involving complex environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices for heavyIndustrial facilities
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and construction documentation
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Building codes and workplace safety regulations
  • Fluency in English and good command of Italian
