Company Overview :
We are seeking a Senior AI Linguist who combines advanced linguistic leadership with AI localization expertise to manage and oversee Italian language quality for our FinTech client. This role is pivotal in driving localization quality, stakeholder trust, and innovation, ensuring clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate communication across all platforms and content types.
Role Overview :
The Senior AI Linguist is responsible for overseeing linguistic quality, directly engaging stakeholders to understand their requirements, reviewing and optimizing LLM output, and actively developing and refining prompts and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) collections for their locale. This includes ownership of language quality, prompt engineering and management, and continuous improvement across content types, with an emphasis on business impact and technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary linguistic point of contact for the client and stakeholders, managing expectations for localized output quality, addressing feedback, and cultivating trust by ensuring stakeholder satisfaction in the local market. Become the expert of the product and customer experience in the local market.
- Copywriting Excellence : Create and copy for marketing pages, emails, and product flows that delights customers.
- Linguistic Quality Governance : Lead and manage linguistic quality assurance of (language) translations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance. Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, translation memory, and terminology management specific to the FinTech sector to ensure consistency and adherence to brand tone.
- LLM Quality Review : Critically review LLM-generated content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, compliance with industry-specific regulations (particularly those related to financial services and FinTech), and alignment with business goals and customer impact.
- Prompt Engineering : Propose, test, and optimize prompt engineering solutions and RAG collections tailored to the language/locale.
- Project Leadership : Plan, drive, monitor, and report on language improvement projects and their progress, in partnership with World-Ready, engineers, product owners, central and local stakeholders, and other linguists to integrate and fine-tune AI-based language solutions within workflows.
- Linguistic Quality Audits : Perform quality audits and conduct linguistic testing on localized products and services to identify and address any issues.
- Process Improvement : Continuously review and refine the localization process, suggesting improvements in workflows, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality, ensuring consistent progress and measurable results.
- Training & Onboarding : Train and onboard vendor-side resources and other linguists to apply language standards in translation work and share best practices in translation standards and AI-enhanced localization.
Qualifications:
- Native Speaker : Exceptional proficiency in Italian, with expert-level written and spoken English.
- Linguistic Expertise : Proven track record in language quality management, translation, or localization (5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role preferred).
- Prompt Engineering : Experience in prompt engineering, large language model (LLM) testing, and optimizing AI-enhanced localization processes.
- Localization Experience : Working knowledge of localization tools (CAT, TMS, NMT, CMS), terminology management software, and quality assurance systems (experience with TransPerfect GlobalLink a plus).
- Technical Skills : Familiar with programming languages, adjusting code (Python preferred), NLP concepts, and data processing (SQL). Proficiency in CAT tools, terminology management software, and quality assurance tools.
- Attention to Detail : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve linguistic and contextual issues.
- Project Management : Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with a strong customer impact focus and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and client stakeholders.
- FinTech Knowledge : Familiarity with FinTech terminology, regulatory requirements, and financial products is a strong plus, as is experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary and global environments
