Purpose of the role:

To ensure positive development of adidas brand image with sustainable and profitable business through an adequate Sports Marketing portfolio of individual athletes, clubs, events and federations supporting brand and category objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic local Sports Marketing Plan aligned with EMEA and Global Strategic frameworks
  • Manage the local athletes portfolio balancing between new talents and old legends among all sports (football, winter sports, running etc.)
  • Manage club relationships and propose new and innovative ways of engaging them
  • Maximize football appeal among Gen A and Gen Z with new languages and tone of voice, as well as new platforms (ie. Kings League)
  • Amplify Brand communication plans, through a relevant and effective athletes management plan
  • Scout new athletes and new clubs to sign to fuel Italian athletes pipeline
  • Secure relevant local asset portfolio following brand strategy
  • Manage with club jersey and official merch creation
  • Lead all asset related day-to-day business
  • Local Asset Budget Management
  • Monitor performance and feedback to EMEA / Global Sport Marketing to optimize Sport Marketing portfolio and negotiations
  • Provide input to Global on local opportunities & trends
  • Provide leadership as well as engage and develop team members in a high-performance environment
  • Develop and manage talents

Skills you’ll need

  • Manager with strong interpersonal, influencing skills (e.g., relationship management, facilitation) and deep sports marketing knowledge

Main Requirements

  • University degree in business with marketing focus and ideally some exposure to sports or a university degree in sports with marketing focus or other exposure to marketing
  • Functional: > 8 years (Sports)Marketing
  • Industry: ideally sports
  • > 5 years leadership experience
  • Fluent in English (writing and verbal), Italian mothertongue
