Innovation, continuous research, digitalization, and sustainability are the pillars of its business worldwide.Within the **Aircraft Technologies & Systems** Unit, we are looking for a **Virtual Engineering Specialist** for our offices in **Turin and Pomigliano.**The resource will be able to carry out the activities within the competence of the AT&S Virtual Engineering unit, in particular:* Functional and behavioral modeling of on-board systems (plant models and controller models), interfacing with the reference system engineers of the ACS unit and the developers of the AT&S Software unit, for the GCAP and Adjunct programs;
* Integration of both flight technology and on-board system models into the co-simulation framework, interfacing with the reference system engineers for the definition and implementation of the model ICDs;
* Evolution of the integrated co-simulation frameworks developed in the unit to support model-based design verification activities within the scope of the GCAP and Adjunct programs, also in concurrence with other units, interfacing with the reference system engineers of the ACS unit and the aircraft technology specialists, for the definition and implementation of the models' architecture and interfaces.**Educational Qualification:** Master's degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Aeromechanics and Systems.**Seniority:** Junior**Knowledge and technical skills:**Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering, in particular:* Proven ability to develop plant and controller models for on-board systems and aero-mechanical models;
* Notions of functional analysis;
* Notions of requirement management;
* Knowledge of main on-board systems (pneumatic, air conditioning/thermal management, electrical, propulsion, landing gear);
* Knowledge of aircraft technology;
* Familiarity with Machine Learning and neural networks;
* Familiarity with Design of Experiment;
* Familiarity with multi-objective optimization.**Behavioral skills:*** Proactive person, with the ability to interface with other company figures and potentially foreign clients;
* Problem-solving skills;
* Ability to work in international teams;
* A strong aptitude for on-the-job learning of modeling and simulation tools is essential.**Language skills:**Good knowledge of written and spoken English.**Computer skills:*** Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite;
* Excellent knowledge of Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow;
* Knowledge of Python is a plus;
* Knowledge of C/C++ programming languages is a plus;
* Knowledge of AMESim is a plus;
* Knowledge of ModeFrontier is a plus;
* Knowledge of CFD++/OpenFOAM/StarCCM+ is a plus;
* Knowledge of Catia V5 (in particular surface modeling) is a plus;
* Knowledge of Git is a plus;
* Notions of SysML (but not essential);
