Field Service Engineers / Technicians – Voltgrid S.R.L.
(Minimum 2 Positions Available)
Due to growing project demand in 2026–2027, Voltgrid is strengthening its field operations team.
Voltgrid S.R.L. is expanding its activities across Europe and is seeking two (2) motivated professionals to join our transformer service operations. We are recruiting for two complementary profiles:
- Transformer Maintenance & Mechanical Technician
- Field Testing Engineer / Technician (able to support maintenance when required)
This structure strengthens both our maintenance capabilities and our advanced diagnostic testing operations.
1. Transformer Maintenance & Mechanical Engineers / Technicians
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-site mechanical works on power transformers and distribution transformers.
- Support refurbishment, gasket replacement, bushing interventions, radiator/cooling group activities, OLTC mechanical works, terminal tightening, and leak checks.
- Perform vacuuming and oil processing operations directly using the required equipment and procedures.
- Carry out all work in accordance with Voltgrid procedures and safety standards.
- Provide support to the testing team when required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transformer maintenance, mechanical field work, or service operations.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand transformer components.
- Hands‑on experience with tools, lifting systems, and safe site practices.
- Willingness to travel across Europe.
- Basic–intermediate English for site communication.
2. Field Testing Engineer / Technician
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic tests on transformers: WR, Ratio, Tan Delta, FRA, DFR, CT/PT, insulation testing.
- Prepare accurate test reports and complete all related documentation in Voltgrid’s reporting format.
- Support the maintenance team for basic mechanical tasks when required.
- Provide technical insight and identify service improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, site teams, and client representatives.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or transformer service.
- Hands‑on experience with OMICRON, Doble, Megger, or similar instruments.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and work independently.
- Good command of English (spoken and written) is required.
- Willingness to travel across Europe.
- Self‑driven, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork ability.
- Detail‑oriented with solid documentation discipline.
- Adaptable to different site conditions and schedules.
- Positive, proactive, and eager to develop technical skills.
- Participation in diverse transformer projects across Europe.
- Work with advanced diagnostic and mechanical field tools.
- Strong safety culture and professional working environment.
