About the Role
In compliance with the directions of the IT Department and in line with the company strategy, the role ensures:
Responsibilities
1. Manage and support the company’s IT security infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint protection, network segmentation, and identity/access controls.
2. Monitor and respond to security alerts, logs, and potential incidents, ensuring the integrity and availability of corporate systems.
3. Contribute to the definition and implementation of cybersecurity best practices, policies, and procedures.
4. Maintain and support internal tools and applications (PHP or .NET: ASP.NET Core/Blazor) when required, ensuring alignment with business needs.
5. Integrate internal tools with enterprise systems (Active Directory, databases, internal APIs) and support authentication and access flows.
6. Automate operational processes (PowerShell/Python) to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
7. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
8. Produce and maintain essential technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in IT security, infrastructure, or system administration roles.
- Hands-on experience with security solutions such as firewalls, endpoint protection, network policies, and identity/access management.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networks, VLANs, VPNs, segmentation, and security concepts.
- Basic scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Basic development capabilities with either PHP or .NET to maintain and extend internal tools.
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/MySQL) and integration with authentication services or APIs.
- Fluent in Italian and proficient in English (B2 level).
- Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, pragmatism, and a hands-on mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred (nice to have)
1. Experience in IT system integrators, security consulting, or enterprise environments.
2. Knowledge of advanced security platforms such as sandboxing, DLP, EDR/AV, email security gateways, or SIEM solutions.
3. Familiarity with incident response processes, log analysis, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
4. Exposure to containerization or virtualization technologies (for example, Docker, VMware).
5. Experience in automating repetitive tasks or reporting processes.
6. Understanding of secure coding principles and DevSecOps practices, even at a basic level.
