ThinkQuantum: Advancing Quantum Technologies in Cybersecurity and Communication
The company, based in Padua, Italy, specializes in cutting-edge cybersecurity and communication systems leveraging quantum technologies. We develop and manufacture Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems and Quantum Random Numbers Generation (QRNG) devices for various industries, including ICT and TLC, in both Ground and Space domains.
Our company is actively engaged in national and international projects, collaborating with organizations such as the European Space Agency and the European Commission. Our work contributes to enhancing information security on a global scale, addressing the growing challenges of data protection in an interconnected world.
We are seeking a motivated Junior ICT Specialist to contribute to the management and operation of the company’s IT environment. The role focuses on the technical administration of the ICT infrastructure, providing support to the CISO and the IT Manager. Responsibilities include the setup and management of the corporate network, administration of IT services, and management of company PCs and servers. The position also involves the configuration and operation of operating systems and applications compliant with Common Criteria standards in isolated and controlled environments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong interest in IT systems and cybersecurity, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. English proficiency is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to configure and set up workstations and provide first-level technical support to users
- Good knowledge of virtualized environments
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and user/group management
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID)
- Proficiency in collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online
- Good understanding of networking principles, including network protocols, Next-Generation Firewalls, proxy systems, and network segregation
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and security best practices
- Ability to work in structured and security-conscious IT environments
- Good proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with operating systems and applications compliant with Common Criteria, deployed in isolated environments
- Basic knowledge of modern backup systems and backup architectures (on-premise and cloud)
- Basic understanding of containerization technologies and microservices architectures
- Familiarity with antispam solutions and their operating principles
- Basic knowledge of Next-Generation Antivirus / EDR concepts
- Basic understanding of networking in virtualized environments
- Introductory knowledge of IaaS services on Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms
- Basic knowledge of SIEM systems and security monitoring concepts
- Awareness of common cybersecurity threats and attack techniques
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM
- >2 years of working experience
