ONSHORE PROJECT SHIPPING AND CUSTOMS COORDINATOR
CCS JV is an important Oil & Gas international Company with a key role in today’s energy transition process, is looking for a Shipping and Customs Coordinator, to be included in the Logistics department in Milan for the Supply Chain function.
The main Tasks of the Shipping and Customs Coordinator in Saipem are:
- Manage all Project shipping & customs activities in direct coordination with Project Management and the various interfaces involved in the Supply Chain process (i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Material Management, Expediting & Inspection team, Project Logistics Managers and their operational logistics team on site, Construction team, End Users/Customers) in order to ensure that all goods are delivered to their final destination in a safe and timely manner according to the Project schedule.
- Coordinate the Shipping & Customs Officers assigned to the Project and monitor the related hours budget, according to Company best practices and procedures.
- Prepare Project packing and marking procedures in accordance with Project requirements
- Prepare Project Shipping and Customs procedures/Logistic Plans.
- Prepare the Technical Bid Package and the related Technical Bid Evaluation for the selection of the Transport Providers for Project transport contracts/agreements.
- Monitor the budget of transport and customs activities in line with the estimate and calculate the spending forecast during all project phases
- Ensure coordination with material suppliers to obtain adequate customs and shipping documentation in line with the INCOTERMS indicated in the purchase order.
- Prepare the shipping documentation such as certification of origin, invoices, etc. necessary for the shipment of the goods to the final destination.
- Ensure proper flow of information and track project shipping and customs activities with Company tools/software, updating shipping and material status report or any other document needed to track status of various shipments.
- Support Procurement in defining the best delivery terms with vendors and, where required, subcontractors and support Materials Management and Project Expediting Coordinators in defining and preparing Shipping & Customs documents.
- Together with the Shipping and Customs Manager, identify Clients’ Project Insurances requirements and address related issues, promptly notify the Insurance department when the value of a shipment exceeds the Corporate Insurance deductibles and when damage occurs during transportation.
- Coordinate all parties involved in the issuance of Marine Warranty Surveyor’s required documentation and directly interface with the nominated Marine warranty Surveyor to ensure all requirements are fulfilled to obtain sail away certificate.
- Distribute Shipping Instructions through the Project organization and through the Shipping & Customs Network.
Qualifications and Experiences required:
- Degree preferably in Engineering or a similar qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Shipping and Customs/Logistics activities, preferably in an Oil & Gas and/or Infrastructures and/or Energy industry.
- Fluent in English (at least B1 level).
- Deep knowledge of INCOTERMS
- Good knowledge of shipping and chartering terms and technical terminologies related to maritime shipments
- Teamwork and leadership skills and cross-functional team coordination attitude.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Work Location: San Donato Milanese with possible business trips in Italy or abroad and/or overseas Contracts.
