The Specialist Integration Validation – SW Validation on HIL (SIV) is an engineer with technical background in validation/testing of software in automotive projects, and strong knowledge in DDT2000, JIRA, and MATLAB/Simulink.
Responsibilities
- Confirm the requirements that need to be tested on HIL benches.
- Follow validation plans and carefully analyze the content.
- Create validation plans if the requirement lacks an associated plan.
- Inform the Validation Project Responsible about blocking points.
- Provide support to the team to unblock validation activities.
- Open tickets in SBM when tests are not compliant.
- Improve the validation process.
- Report validation steps that are not fully compliant.
- Analyze and report incorrect software behavior, even if it is outside the test plan.
- Search for the root cause of items discovered by other validation means.
Qualifications
- Degree in Transport Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience and technical background in automotive software testing projects.
- Good understanding of vehicle architecture and operation (internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles).
- Knowledge of the V‑Cycle development method.
- Knowledge of electric and electronic circuit architecture analysis and automotive ECU software development/analysis, including writing requirements, decomposition, and allocation of requirements to impacted systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols.
- Proficiency with automotive software tools such as DDT2000, JIRA, Linux, Python, WinSCP, Silk Central (OpenText), Confluence, JTAG, CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink, etc.
- English, and proficiency in French is a plus.
