MISSION
Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods for a company to use or sell in their own business. This position requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage an inventory, evaluate quality goods, and stick within a budget. It has also required to develop new sources of supply to reach the cost reduction objectives. Optimize the communication between Marketing & Purchasing teams to ensure the Best in Class Service and Quality within Purchasing’s assigned budget.
The buyer is called upon to contribute to achieve the best competitive price positioning compared to the Indipendent After Market in order to support the sales department on the Market Share growth and maintain/improve high supplier service level to meet the right stock availability according to the network demand, ensuring at the same time the compliance with Iveco technical requirements.
BUYER RULES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Search for and negotiate contracts with suppliers on the best commercial and logistic conditions
- Support supply chain to ensure a good service level to avoid stock breakage
DAY TO DAY DUTIES
- Manage request for quotation, analyze offers and select the best solution to meet our targets in terms of cost and timing, prioritizing parts for VOR (Vehicle Off Road) and BO (Back Order)
- Solve purchasing issues on invoicing involving all the necessary areas (logistic, finance, material management, ..) and authorize payments
EDUCATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Negotiation skills and leadership with good supplier’s governance
- Purchasing and inventory management skills
- Analytical and math skills
- Aptitude for teamwork and ability to perform under stress
- Problem solving oriented
- Use of Microsoft office (Excel and Powerpoint mainly)
- Fluent French, English, Italian
- Available for business trips
