Job Description:

On behalf of a prestigious 5* Resort nestled in the heart of Southern Italy, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of SPA to lead the wellness department of a sanctuary for international travellers seeking excellence, privacy, and a deep connection to the land.

Rooted in Mediterranean identity, the SPA offers a transformative wellness experience that blends holistic well-being with the serene, yet vibrant, spirit of the region.

Renowned for its uniquely curated treatments inspired by local traditions and natural elements, the SPA invites guests on a journey of mindful rituals, personalized therapies, and an authentic self-care philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic and operational leadership of the SPA, ensuring a consistent level of excellence.
  2. Design and evolve the wellness offering in line with both the brand philosophy and international luxury standards.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of therapists and support staff, ensuring an environment of sincere trust among and with staff members.
  4. Maintain full P&L responsibility, overseeing budget, cost control, and profitability while protecting service integrity.
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the SPA’s seamless integration into the guest journey, fostering a high-performance culture with a deep sense of purpose.
  6. Monitor market trends and innovations to keep the offering relevant and differentiated.
  7. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Spa Manager in a luxury hotel.
  2. Passionate about the Spa and Fitness world.
  3. Extensive leadership experience in managing luxury wellness operations within high-end hospitality.
  4. Naturally empathetic, detail-oriented, and aligned with values of authenticity and excellence.
  5. Strong conceptual understanding of holistic wellness, guest psychology, and service personalization.
  6. Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and retain high-performing teams.
  7. Financially savvy with strong business acumen and planning capability.
  8. Languages: Italian and English (other languages preferably).
