Sourcing Manager

Adecco Life Science, specialized division of the Adecco Group, for a client company operating in the design and construction of modules, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers for the pharmaceutical sector research a Sourcing Manager

Job Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Supplier base development and optimization, prequalification and management to ensure cost‑effective supply with consistent quality and acceptable service & delivery levels
  • Identify, develop, and implement regional sourcing strategies to develop and optimize the supply base in Europe, prequalification and management to reduce total delivered cost, mitigate headwinds, and improve security of supply and consistency of quality
  • Understand technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and user expectations
  • Communicate and collaborate among related function teams to effectively resolve purchasing issues and minimize interruption to project objectives
  • Develop contract strategies and effectively negotiate key commercial and supply positions to the benefit of company business requirements and goals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends for assigned categories, providing guidance and recommendations to the Purchasing team to support margin and top‑line growth
  • Maintain strong negotiation and supplier management skills

Qualifications and skills required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
  • More than 5 years of experience in procurement in the engineering, automation, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry
  • Prior experience in industrial or equipment manufacturing and familiarity with supply base in one or more fields in Europe (e.g., piping, valve, instrument, construction vendor, etc.)
  • International working experience (either academic or international work environments)
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Demonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skills
  • Proven track record of driving a structured, result‑oriented negotiation process and outstanding negotiation results

Working hours: full time from Monday to Friday with the possibility of some days of remote working

Employment Terms:

  • CCNL for the Metalmeccanico sector; level and RAL will be commensurate with the candidate's experience
  • Lunch ticket €8,00 per work‑day + Annual Bonus according to performance
  • Permanent contract directly with the company
