Sound Engineer - Automotive Infotainment
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sound Engineer Consultant to contribute to the development, maintenance, and adaptation of an existing Infotainment System for a new vehicle platform in the premium automotive sector. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Audio System (including all possible configurations) functions flawlessly and meets the highest standards of audio philosophy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tuning of all homologation-relevant sounds and warnings.
- Perform static and dynamic vehicle tuning.
- Execute cabin frequency response measurements.
- Manage defect identification and resolution through official software releases.
- Collaborate with and steer external suppliers.
- Design brand-specific signature sounds and system sounds.
- Generate periodic reports on planned changes, project milestones, and open issues.
- Document meeting minutes, teleconferences, and agreements in protocol form.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in automotive audio systems and infotainment.
- Proficiency in embedded products, media infotainment, audio, VR, Bluetooth, CAN connectivity, HMI tuner, navigation, and related automotive features.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles, systems engineering, integration, and testing.
- Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in designing and integrating backend services.
- Knowledge of change management processes.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Framework (Jira & Confluence).
- Knowledge of Automotive Architectures and communication protocols (CAN/MOST/ETHERNET).
- Unix/Linux proficiency, particularly bash/shell scripting.
- Fluent English is essential.
- Ability to work remotely and travel to client locations in Europe.

- Italian or German language skills.
