Location : Firenze, Italy (Hybrid)

Job Objective

The Solution Engineering Manager requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing complex transportation projects, with strong technical knowledge of IT, Telecom, and Security systems integration.

Main Activities

• Responsible for all technical activities including requirements analysis, architecture definition, system design, integration, verification, validation, and system qualification.
• Ensure conformity with requirements, quality, performance, customer satisfaction, budget, and schedule.
• Plan, control, and coordinate all technical activities.
• Propose technical solutions and network architecture.
• Oversee configuration management and ensure solution integrity.
• Support deployment, installation, and site acceptance.
• Coordinate among technical team members and ensure smooth transition to installation and commissioning.
• Serve as the main technical interface for the customer.
• Participate in project meetings and compile reports.
• Draft official correspondence and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.
• Apply quality and HSE procedures.
• Review technical scope of work and keep stakeholders informed.
• Propose variations and support contract management.
• Support procurement and subcontracting activities.
• Conduct project reviews according to company standards.

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of system engineering processes.
• Experience managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to coordinate resources internationally.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• At least 5 years designing complex transportation systems.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience with communication systems, tramway signaling, video communication, security, SCADA, and environmental control systems.

Preferred: Knowledge of cybersecurity, virtualized architectures.
