Solar PV Field Technician (Trainee Pathway) – Ravenna

About Our Client: Our client is a leading international renewable energy company, known for innovative asset management and high-performance solar solutions. With operations across Europe and award-winning technology, they are expanding in Italy and seeking motivated individuals to join their growing team. The Opportunity: We are looking for aspiring or junior Solar PV Field Technicians to join our client’s team in Ravenna. This is an ideal role for candidates with a technical background in electrical, energy, or industrial sectors who want to build a career in the solar industry. Full training and mentorship will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of utility-scale photovoltaic systems Support preventive and corrective maintenance on solar plants Learn to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in PV systems Monitor system performance and assist in optimization tasks Help replace faulty components (panels, inverters, cables) Maintain accurate records of site visits and maintenance activities Follow all safety protocols and support a safe work environment What we're looking for: Technical diploma, degree, or hands-on experience in electrical, energy, automation, or related fields Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in solar PV Practical mindset and willingness to work on-site Problem-solving attitude and attention to detail Team player with good communication skills Fluent Italian (essential); English a plus Valid Italian/EU driving license Based in or willing to relocate to Ravenna/Emilia-Romagna Desirable: Any prior experience with PV, electrical systems, or O&M is a plus Knowledge of SCADA, BESS, or high/low voltage systems What's offered: Competitive salary package with clear growth path Full training, mentorship, and professional development Opportunity to progress to senior technician or O&M roles Work with an international, supportive team Company vehicle or travel allowance for site visits Be part of Italy’s energy transition and work on innovative projects How to Apply: Send your CV (or LinkedIn profile) and a brief motivation statement.
