Solar Project Manager

Econergy is seeking a Solar Project Manager to lead and support PV projects in Italy. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of assigned PV projects throughout its life cycle, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget while minimizing risks and maximizing margins.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project development team to perform all activities from project RTB to shovel‑ready, working proactively to obtain all missing secondary permits.
- Manage the development of the PV plant from site establishment through to Final Completion.
- Coordinate and manage project engineering revisions.
- Budget and cash‑flow management.
- Direct interaction with the DNO/TSO to ensure network connection of PV generation facilities.
- Verify compliance with the quality implementation of construction activities.
- Supervise construction compliance with the approved design.
- Ensure quality and timing in construction, development, and closure of projects during implementation.
- Manage local stakeholders (landlord, EPC company, etc.).
- Check and manage the project timeline.
- Implement a risk‑management strategy for all assigned projects.
- Communicate with authorities regarding interconnection, permitting and other regulatory compliance issues during construction.
- Identify potential problem sources and proactively take preventive measures to avoid risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact.
- Possess strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Issue periodic reports to the company boards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience managing complex infrastructure or utility‑scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage, or hybrid).
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders in international or regional contexts.
- Solid understanding of project financing principles, procurement processes and energy commercial frameworks (PPAs).
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
