We’re looking for a mid-level QA Engineer who enjoys hands‑on testing, working with real hardware, and ensuring our platform delivers a smooth and reliable experience for developers. You’ll work directly with real gaming hardware, help shape a platform that game studios rely on every day, and grow your technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with both software and hardware testing, while also helping build and evolve our test automation foundations, giving you opportunities to design scripts, expand automated coverage, and influence long‑term QA strategy. This is a great position for someone who loves breaking things manually but also enjoys making sure they never break again through smart automation.

Location: Torrita Tiberina (RM) Italy - Hybrid - During product releases, full‑time on‑site presence may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Test core features of our EGM software platform, including APIs, game lifecycle, events, and meters used by game developers.
  • Work with our C/C++, .NET, and REST/WebSocket SDKs to validate integrations and behaviors.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain dedicated test environments using our gaming cabinets, peripherals, and platform builds.
  • Create and run test scenarios using sample games, demo applications, and internal tools.
  • Investigate issues across logs, APIs, SDKs, and hardware components, collaborating closely with engineers to resolve them.
  • Contribute to improving test coverage, documentation, automation practices, and QA workflows.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in software testing (manual and/or automated).
  • Solid understanding of API testing, debugging, and structured test case design.
  • Comfort working with at least one of the following: C/C++, .NET, or REST/JSON.
  • Ability to analyze behavior across different integration paths and spot inconsistencies.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a desire to keep learning.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Additional Skills (Advantageous)

  • Experience with game engines (Unity, Godot, Unreal, Cocos).
  • Exposure to embedded systems, real‑time environments or hardware software testing.
  • Familiarity with gaming industry standards such as:
    • GLI 11 – Gaming Devices
    • GLI 12 – Progressive Gaming Devices
  • Interest in performance testing, platform resilience, or system level integration testing.
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows environments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or computer science or comparable fields or equivalent professional background.
  • 2–4 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automated)
