As Software Engineer II at LodgeLink, you build cloud-native applications that power our workforce-travel platform. You’ll work within an agile, collaborative team to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable services, while improving reliability and performance. You contribute to architectural discussions and help reduce technical debt, balancing short-term delivery with long-term health. This role offers hands‑on impact across frontend and backend, with opportunities to grow technical influence and shape our engineering culture.

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services that support LodgeLink's platform and business objectives
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions under leadership guidance
Apply engineering best practices: code reviews, automated testing, documentation, continuous improvement
Contribute to cloud-native solutions and distributed systems
Work within Agile practices: sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement
Identify and address technical debt while balancing delivery and platform health
Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production applications
Contribute to improving engineering processes, tooling, and development standards
Share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
3-5 years of software development experience
Experience with frontend development using React and building backend microservices and APIs
Ability to learn new technologies quickly with solid software engineering fundamentals
Solid understanding of SDLC and software engineering best practices
Working knowledge of SOLID principles, software architecture concepts, and clean code
Experience developing and consuming APIs and API-first approaches
Familiarity with Go, gRPC, REST APIs or equivalent technologies
Familiarity with microservices, loosely coupled systems, event-driven architectures, and DDD
Exposure to AI-powered development tools is a assets
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
Commitment to code quality, testing, and continuous improvement
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
Security/compliance checks and verification prior to employment
